Newsletter, Vol. 4 No. 1, 30 June 1976
Camp Pittaway, a summer camp session on the Trinity campus, was introduced in the summer of 1976. This issue of the newsletter from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. announced that 124 campers were enrolled in the first session, with limited vacancies in the second. Goodman also announced new faculty for the 1976-1977 school year and congratulated Nancy Goode '76 for her success in the National Spanish Exam.

Another school year was fast approaching when Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. sent the August 6, 1976 issue of the newsletter to parents and students. He announced five new faculty and outlined the school's dress code.

Approximately two weeks before the start of the 1976-1977 school year, Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. sent this newsletter containing dates and hours of the first days of the school year, including an orientation day for eighth-grade students.

The August 31, 1976 issue of Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr.'s newsletter included the detailed attendance and tardiness policy, insurance details, and athletic team announcements.

Newsletter, Vol. 4 No. 5, 10 September 1976
In the September 10, 1976 newsletter, Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. announced the Trinity Parents Association (often referred to as the Trinity Patrons Association) meeting for September 16. This was a precursor of the Back to School Night model, in which parents would follow their students' schedules and visit classes.

Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. announced the implementation of interim grade reports in the September 20, 1976 newsletter to parents and students.

Newsletter, Vol. 4 No. 7, 13 October 1976
The October 13, 1976 issue of the newsletter from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr., was devoted almost entirely to fundraising events. The school was increasingly holding, sales, drives, parties, etc. to raise funds for specific programs and departments. This issue also included a plea for parents to join the Boosters, in support of the athletic program, for an annual family cost of $25.00.

Newsletter, Vol. 4 No. 8, 7 December 1976
In December 1976, Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. used the newsletter to outline vacation dates, snow day policies, and attendance policy. In addition, he announced the first Trinity Arts Festival for December 16.

Trinity Patrons Newsletter, February 1977
This unsigned newsletter was headed "Trinity Patrons Newsletter". It included information about upcoming events, such as the Spring Fling and a wine and cheese party, both fundraisers. The extent of parent volunteer involvement in the life of the school was apparent by the number of names and committees referenced. The newsletter concluded with other school-wide announcements, including an exchange program with a school in England.

The March 1977 issue of the newsletter from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. included much news reflecting the academic strength of the school and its students: college acceptances, honor society inductions, National Merit Scholar finalist, testing dates, and academic tournaments. The additional news of athletic achievements, field trips, volunteer appreciation, fundraisers, and service projects painted a picture of a busy and well-rounded student body.

The second issue in March 1977 from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. included a comprehensive list of corporations, agencies, and professionals who participated in "Senior Project Week", an early version of what has become Junior Work Week. Seniors had "...the opportunity to gain first-hand experience 'on the job.'"

Trinity Patrons Newsletter, Vol. 4 No. 11, March 1977
Another newsletter headed "Trinity Patrons Newsletter," signed by Jean Craig, TPA president. This issue listed newly-elected officers, urged participation in the upcoming Spring Fling (fundraiser), and announced the sports banquet on May 18.

Newsletter, Special Edition, April 1977
This important "Special Edition" of the newsletter announced "A Day of Challenge, Thought, and Discussion" on the subject "The Future: Determined or Negotiable?". On May 5, 1977, the entire day was devoted to lectures, presentations, and discussion groups. There were 19 guest speakers, including academics from the University of Richmond, VCU, and VPI. Other speakers were innovators, artists, business representatives, and government officials.

The closing weeks of the 1976-1977 school year brought the need for extensive announcements from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. They included policies for the upcoming prom, testing dates, summer school information, and details of the upcoming sports banquet. In addition, the strong admission/enrollment season (455 to date) and the enrollment in Camp Pittaway for the summer of 1977 (360), indicated a period of growth and success for Trinity.

Newsletter, Vol. 4 No. 12, 27 May 1977
Details associated with the closing of the 1976-1977 school year were the focus of the newsletter of late May 1977. Headmaster Robert C.Goodman, Jr. congratulated National Honor Society inductees, urged prompt response to bus transportation enrollment, and celebrated the success of Camp Pittaway, which had reached a capacity of 440 campers. Details and logistics for Baccalaureate and Graduation were included in this issue.

In June 1977, the newsletter to parents and students was almost entirely devoted to a list of missing library books.

Newsletter, Vol. 4 No. 14, 13 July 1977
This issue of the newsletter from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. included a serious message that announced a revision to exam procedures and grading policies, intended to address the "....lack of seriousness with which too many of our students approach an examination..." Another continuing area of frustration was the administration of a bus transportation service. This newsletter contained another plea for parents to respond promptly to the bus registration deadline.
