Description
The by-laws addressed the duties, powers, roles and responsibilities of the board of directors, as well as those of its committees and officers. Governance guidelines, such as meeting frequency, dates, times, necessary quorum, notification, and recordation of minutes were spelled out. Included (in Article IV) were the duties of the headmaster and dean. An important item (Article V) is the description of the school's relationship to the Episcopal Church. It stated that "...the doctrine, discipline and worship of the school shall conform with that of the Protestant Episcopal Church."
