Description

In this letter, Steering Committee Co-Chair Shands welcomed John R. Brinser to the board. Brinser, an established teacher and coach at St. Christopher's School, was sought as a member to bring administrative and educational perspective to the leadership team. Shands said Brinser's presence would bring "...stability and luster..." to the project. He explained, in the letter, the rationale for a five-year secondary school, which would include grade 8. Since St. Michael's Episcopal School, like many lower schools at the time, extended only through grade 7, it was felt that Trinity needed to "...provide a continuity of quality Christian education...." At the time, Shands continued to refer to St. Michael's as the main feeder school to Trinity.
