Newsletter, Vol. 10 No. 1, 5 August 1982
As was typical of the late-summer issues of the newsletter from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr., this August 5, 1982, issue included the dates and times for events scheduled around the opening of the school year. An interesting addition was the list of newly-elected members of the Board of Directors, and a note of thanks to those retiring from the board. Also included was a detailed list of upcoming practice sessions for varsity field hockey and soccer (boys).

Newsletter, Vol. 10 No. 2, 14 October 1982
This issue of the newsletter, distributed in mid-October 1982, was the first since late August, and was extremely lengthy and full of information. Along with announcements of club officers, new faculty, new library book donations, athletic successes, and a homecoming recap, this issue included notice of an annual giving telethon and challenge gift.

The newsletter recognized the varsity football team for a second-place Prep League finish. A $5,000 grant from the Flagler Foundation had been used for "additional mini computers." Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. invited parents of 8th, 9th and 10th grade students to a meeting for "an open discussion of the social scene of our young people."

Athletic success continued with an undefeated season by the boys' soccer team, which earned its first Prep League championship. This issue of the newlestter also touched on fundraising efforts beyond the customary sales and events: the annual giving campaign, which was pursuing unrestricted gifts; and the donation of 27 bonds (debentures), issued to raise capital for the founding of the school in 1971-1972.

The newsletter from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. had become a less-frequent communications tool. This issue, from February 1983, was only the 4th published since the start of the school year in September. It was, however, lengthy and content-rich. It included the good news of a foundation grant for library acquisitions, and the less-upbeat news of the struggle to reach the annual giving challenge of $10,000.

The April 1983 issue of the newsletter caught up on school events with a recap of debate team successes; foreign exchange visits from Spain, France and England; the Trinity Players performance of The Curious Savage; and a description of an oral history project completed by the junior class.

Newsletter, Vol. 10 No. 7, 5 May 1983
This issue of the newsletter included an announcement of the "French Film Festival," performances by the Trinity Players and the Concert Choir, and a list of upcoming end-of-year events.

Newsletter, Vol. 9[10] No. 12[8], 26 May 1983
The final issue of the newsletter for the 1982-1983 school year announced a summer SAT prep class for rising juniors and seniors. Kudos were extended to the girls' tennis team for an undefeated season, and to newly-elected club officers.

This brief midsummer issue of the newsletter from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. included administrative details about the student handbook, immunization forms, and re-enrollment forms.

Newsletter, Vol. 10[11] No. 2, 8 August 1983
As the new school year approached (1983-1984), the newsletter focused on athletic practices, textbook sales/swaps, and new faculty. There is also a request to alumni athletes in soccer, field hockey and girls tennis to participate in matches against student athletes at Homecoming November 5.

With the beginning of the 1983-1984 school year, the newsletter from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. included an detailed calendar through the end of January. Among the opening events and ceremonies planned for the first few days of the year was the annual school opening convocation. Richmond's mayor, Roy A. West, was the scheduled speaker.

This issue of the newsletter included the announcement that two foreign students were enrolled for the entire school year, and were living with Trinity families. Weight equipment had been acquired for the athletic department.

Newsletter, Vol. 10[11] No. 5, 14 October 1983
Fundraising activities continued to focus on sales (poinsettias, pecans, citrus fruit) and events (paper drive, Spring Fling, Christmas Bazaar). At the time, the TPA (now called Trinity Parents' Association or the Trinity Parents Association) required parents to choose to join. This issue of the newsletter reported membership at just over one-half of all parents.

This issue of the newsletter from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. highlighted the upcoming production by the Trinity Players, Once in a Garden, to be presented November 11 and 12, 1983. Homecoming had featured a full spirit week, with the theme days of Halloween costume, Beach Day, Punk Rock, Mix-n-Match, and Green and White Jeans & Hat Day.

This issue includes the announcement that Barbara Hsu, a Trinity parent, had made a ceramic Eucharist set that would be dedicated and used for the first time at chapel November 17, 1983. It consisted of two chalices, two patens, and two candleholders. In 2020, Chaplain Brian Griffen confirmed that the two patens were still in use.

This pre-holiday issue of the newsletter had much Christmas-themed news about the annual bazaar, Christmas tree sales, Christmas art projects, and the annual basketball tournament December 16 and 17, 1983.

Honor society inductees were listed in this issue of the newsletter from Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. Also featured was a thorough description of Senior Work Week, an annual event held in January.

Newsletter, Vol. 10[11] No. 10, 28 February 1984
Boys varsity basketball received recognition in this issue of the newsletter. The team won its fifth straight Prep League title and finished 22-3. Kudos were also extended to the wrestling team and the girls soccer team. The debate team and participants in the Model United Nations were singled out for academic recognition.

Newsletter, Vol. 10[11] No. 11, 30 March 1984
The Trinity Players were preparing to present The Diary of Anne Frank, and in this issue of the newsletter the group listed props and costumes needed to create the realistic 1940's setting. Readers were asked to "...check attic and closets." Foreign exchange students from Spain and England were arriving in April to stay with Trinity families; the Trinity students would leave to complete the exchange in May.

Newsletter, Vol. 10[11] No. 12, 25 April 1984
Trinity had been pursuing a capital campaign, called Trinity, Now and Tomorrow, with a goal of $500,000. This issue of the newsletter reported half of the target had been reached. Headmaster Robert C. Goodman, Jr. wrote "...I hope that all members of the Trinity family will demonstrate their appreciation of the School's volunteer leadership by supporting generously this exciting project."
